History of Grace Place

In 2008, while Daniel was attending his 2nd year at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry located in Redding, CA, he began overseeing a house of students.

Over the course of time, the Lord put it on his heart to meet with each student on a regular basis to pour into them and see their lives be transformed. This was the beginning of Grace Place.

In 2012, Daniel expanded the community to include both 1st and 2nd-year students. The next year, in 2013, Daniel established a second house for 1st-year guys.

In 2014, once again he expanded to include the first-ever 1st-year girls' house. Expanding the reach of his ministry, Daniel grew a team of leaders and volunteers to meet with students regularly and facilitate community events like family nights, retreats, and ministry activation.

Grace Place has grown beyond its eight-student origin to become a community comprised of over 40 students and leaders. We are excited to see what lies ahead and all that God is going to do in the years to come!

OUR CORE VALUES

Grace

“For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

John 1:16-17

“Unmerited divine favor;

receiving what we do not deserve”

Servanthood

“‘This is the Kingdom’s logic: whoever wants to become great must first make himself a servant; whoever wants to be first must bind himself as a slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as the ransom for many.”

Matthew 20:26-28

“A constant state of serving, supporting, and preferring others selflessly”

Integrity

“Adherence to moral and ethical principles,

displaying character at all times; honesty”

“I know, my God, that you test the heart

and are pleased with integrity.’

I Chronicles 29:17a

Thankfulness

“A state of appreciation, full of friendly

expressions of gratitude and honor”

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

I Thessalonians 5:16-18

Honor

“Displaying high respect; to esteem or revere;

to regard with great value”

“Be devoted to one another in love.

Honor one another above yourselves.”

Romans 12:10

Humility

“A state of modesty, meekness, or courteous respect”

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Philippians 2:3,4

Excellence

“A state of surpassing far above and beyond expectations or standards; possessing outstanding quality or superior merit”

“God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won’t follow sinners or join in sneering at God. Instead, the Law of the Lord makes them happy, and they think about it day and night. They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do.”

Psalm 1:1-3

Love

“The unconditional, sacrificial giving of oneself

for the sake of another”

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

I Corinthians 13:4-8

Teachability

“A conscious decision to be taught by another;

capacity to be instructed; moldable.”

"The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,

but a wise man listens to advice."

Proverbs 12:15

Surrender

“The act of yielding to the possession or power of another; to give up, abandon, or relinquish.”

“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.”

Philippians 2:5-7

Faith

“Confidence, trust, or belief in a person or thing

with no proof”

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:1

Generosity

“Readiness in giving; giving abundantly,

over and above the expected amount”

 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

II Corinthians 9:6-7

Hope

“Confident expectation of good;

to believe, desire, or trust.”

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

Romans 15:13

Peace

“Uninterrupted freedom from disturbance; untroubled; tranquil; contentment.”

"For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace."

Romans 8:6

“This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Nehemiah 8:10

Joy

“A state of great pleasure or happiness due to internal belief and posture, not external factors”
